Die decaDance fällt zwar aus, aber dennoch müssen wir nicht auf großartige Tanzabende mit dem umwerfenden Sound von den Burguez Brüdern und den Groovy Four verzichten. Im Zuge des Swingin‘ the Blues Exchange in Mainz/Wiesbaden/Offenbach habt ihr zweimal die Gelegenheit mit der Band zu Feiern und zu Tanzen
Die Groovy Four, ein dynamisches Ensemble mit Wurzeln tief im Blues, der Raffinesse des West Coast Jazz und dem lebendigen Geist des Rhythm and Blues, elektrisieren die Bühne. Ihr Repertoire verspricht, das Publikum von der ersten Note an zum Grooven zu bringen.
Die Band besteht aus dem fesselnden Martin Burguez an der Gitarre und dem Gesang sowie dem mitreißenden Saxophon von Arnaud Desprez, die beide die Bühne mit ihren lebhaften Melodien und eingängigen Riffs beherrschen. Die Rhythmusgruppe der Gruppe, bestehend aus Oriol Fontanals am Kontrabass und Pascal Mucci am Schlagzeug, verleiht jedem Auftritt ein kraftvolles und solides Rückgrat.
Mit ihrer langjährigen Erfahrung in der europäischen Musikszene und ihrer tiefen Liebe zu ihrem Genre verbinden die vier erfahrenen Musiker Einflüsse von Legenden wie Tiny Grimes, Bill Jennings, Red Prysock und Joe Houston mit einer Prise von Oscar Alemáns Flair und ihren eigenen Werken. Diese Verschmelzung schafft einen einzigartigen Sound, der eine Hommage an die kultige Musik der 40er und 50er Jahre ist und The Groovy Four zu einem Muss auf dem Festival macht.
Erstmals auf der decaDance 2025 wurden aus den Groovy Four mit Pianist/Sänger Alberto Burguez die Groovy Five. Als Quintett, dessen Einflüsse von Blues über Swing bis hin zu New Orleans-Jazz reichen, haben wir zum zweiten Mal eine einmalige Band am Start, die wirklich jeden von Hocker reißt. Wer da noch sitzen bleibt, dem ist wirklich nicht mehr zu helfen.

Although decaDance has been canceled, we still don’t have to miss out on great dance evenings with the stunning sound of the Burguez Brothers and the Groovy Four. As part of Swingin‘ the Blues Exchange in Mainz/Wiesbaden/Offenbach, you’ll have two opportunities to party and dance with the band.
The Groovy Four, a dynamic ensemble with roots deep in the blues, the sophistication of West Coast jazz, and the lively spirit of rhythm and blues, electrify the stage. Their repertoire promises to get the audience grooving from the very first note.
The band consists of the captivating Martin Burguez on guitar and vocals and the rousing saxophone of Arnaud Desprez, both of whom dominate the stage with their lively melodies and catchy riffs. The group’s rhythm section, consisting of Oriol Fontanals on double bass and Pascal Mucci on drums, provides a powerful and solid backbone to every performance.
With their many years of experience on the European music scene and their deep love for their genre, the four seasoned musicians combine influences from legends such as Tiny Grimes, Bill Jennings, Red Prysock, and Joe Houston with a dash of Oscar Alemán’s flair and their own compositions. This fusion creates a unique sound that pays homage to the iconic music of the 40s and 50s and makes The Groovy Four a must-see at the festival.
For the first time at decaDance 2025, The Groovy Four became The Groovy Five with pianist/singer Alberto Burguez. As a quintet whose influences range from blues to swing to New Orleans jazz, we have a unique band for the second time that will really get everyone out of their seats. Anyone who stays seated really can’t be helped.
